Ronan Cavanagh - Executive Director

Ronan Cavanagh is Executive Director at Montague Communications and has 13 years work experience in Communications. He has worked at Montague's for three years and directs accounts such as the Institute of Public Health in Ireland, CBM Ireland, NCBI (the National Council for the Blind), the Office of Tobacco Control, Connect (the National Adults Counselling Service), the Stand Up for Education campaign and the Association of Optometrists.

He previously worked as Communications Manager with the Irish Heart Foundation and BreastCheck. In both these organisations he was the first Communications Manager in post and his key task was to design a communications strategy for the organisation. This was followed with responsibility for implementation of the plan including: media relations, internal communications, literature, website, advocacy, networking, advertising and regional communications.

He also worked as a news reporter for three years with the Irish Examiner, Evening Echo and The Kerryman newspapers.

He holds an honours MA in Communications & Culture Studies and a Diploma in Public Relations. He is a Board member of both the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) and the charity Comber which provides alternative accommodation for people in institutions in Romania.
